This course is designed to provide firefighters with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively operate at incidents using water, ensuring enhanced safety and efficiency in emergency response situations. The course is mapped to and aligns with the following international standards:

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 14, Chapter 9, Rescue and Firefighting.
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) DOC 9137, Airport Services Manual, Part 1.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 403 (now consolidated into NFPA 460) Standard for Aircraft Rescue and Fire-Fighting Services at Airports, Chapter 5 Extinguishing Agents.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1003: Standard for Airport Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Chapter 4 General Requirements.
