This course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to safely and competently inspect, maintain, and test ARFF operational vehicles. The course is mapped to and aligns with the following international standards:

ICAO Airport Services Manual, Part 1 Rescue and Fire Fighting – Chapter 17.
NPFA 1911 – Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Emergency Vehicles.
NFPA 1900 – Standard for Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Vehicles, Automotive Fire Apparatus, Wildland Fire Apparatus, and Automotive Ambulances.

Determine the type of inspection, test, and/or maintenance required.
Describe the requirements for inspections, tests, and/or maintenance of ARFF operational vehicles.
Explain the process for returning vehicles to full operational readiness.
Record results and/or report faults in accordance with organizational procedures.
