Course content
The Certificate in Airport Accessibility consists of the following five modules:
- The travel experience for persons with disabilities.
- Defining disability and understanding different types of disabilities.
- Key methods for maximizing accessibility.
- The passenger journey through the airport – overview and key accessibility considerations.
- In depth examination of accessibility considerations at booking, arrival and check-in.
- In depth examination of accessibility considerations to assist passengers to move through the terminal with the greatest ease.
- Key accessibility considerations for terminal design and facilities.
- In depth examination of accessibility considerations for the final four stages of the passenger travel journey:
- Moving through security, passport control and immigration.
- Waiting in the departure lounge.
- Boarding the aircraft.
- Arriving at the destination airport.
