This August, we are releasing Klayo 2.0. This next evolution will bring together workforce intelligence, training, and career development in a single platform built specifically for airports.
Klayo 2.0 combines the workforce planning and compliance capabilities Klayo is known for with the 17 years of training expertise behind the Online Learning Centre (OLC).
This significant upgrade comes as an answer to a real airport need: to access workforce data, training records, and employee development in one single platform and support efficient decision making for managers and executives.
From training strategy to delivery
Until now, knowing your people needed training and actually delivering that training were two separate jobs in two separate systems. Klayo could show you exactly where a person or a team fell short of what their role required but it was still up to you to find and organize the delivery of that training.
From 17 August 2026, the OLC catalogue of 200+ ACI-accredited courses will be delivered through Klayo and connected directly to the roles, competencies, and compliance standards the platform already maps.

For existing Klayo user, this means that you will be able to see the gap, assign the training that addresses it, and watch capability update as people complete it, all in one continuous view.
Because Klayo understands what each role actually demands, the training you assign will be targeted rather than generic. You will no longer be paying for courses people do not need or guessing whether the training you ran moved the needle. When someone will complete a course, their qualification profile will update on its own, and the capability data and the learning will finally inform each other.
Introducing My Klayo
This upgrade does not only change things for airports, it changes things for every individual who learns and works in one thanks to My Klayo, a free personal space built around each person's own skills and career.
Skills Passport
At its heart is the Skills Passport, a single live record of a person's certifications, qualifications, and completed training, with every ACI OLC course they take on Klayo added automatically.
Career Explorer
Built on Klayo Intelligence, Career Explorer allows individuals to explore roles across the airport industry, see exactly what each job requires, and map a path from where they are to where they want to go. For the first time, airport professionals can see their skills, their qualifications, the gaps between them and their next role, and a clear route forward, all in one place.
Why the upgrade
The airport industry is facing a structural workforce challenge that translates into increasing talent acquisition and retention issues:
-
Turnover in ground handling reaches as high as 50% in some regions.
-
The cost of replacing a skilled aviation professional can reach between 75% and 300% of their annual salary.
-
A new generation is entering the industry expecting career visibility, meaningful development, and digital-first experiences as a baseline, not a bonus.
- Across aviation more broadly, Boeing projects demand for nearly 2.4 million new professionals by 2044.
These pressures create a scale of hiring and development the current approach was never built to handle and call for more than better scheduling or tighter compliance tracking.
One of the clearest findings in workforce research is that people who can see a future where they are are far more likely to stay. The ACI World and ICF Workforce Management at Airports 2025 report found that airports embedding clear growth pathways into the employee experience see measurable gains in retention and engagement.
That is what Klayo 2.0 is built for.
To deliver a connected approach, where workforce intelligence, training, compliance, and development are part of the same system, informing the same decisions and serving the same goal.
