- The background to the ICAO GRF.
- Why the ICAO GRF implementation was so important.
- Key changes that took effect with the implementation of the GRF.
- The major elements of the RCAM.
- How to use the RCAM to assess and report on runway surface conditions.
- The circumstances under which Runway Condition Codes (RWYCC) can be adjusted via a downgrade or upgrade.
- The RCAM Downgrade Assessment Criteria used to downgrade a RWYCC.
- Requirements that must be met when upgrading a RWYCC.
- When is a Runway Condition Assessment required?
- The changes that require a new Runway Condition Report (RCR) to be issued.
- The importance of, and techniques for, continuous monitoring of runway conditions during deteriorating weather conditions.
- The steps required to conduct a Runway Condition Assessment.
- Determining the RWYCC to be used in the RCR.
- Methods by which the RCR can be disseminated.
- Using a Runway Condition Worksheet to record the data generated by a RCR, including the assignment of RWYCC and the generation of the final RCR.
- Practical scenarios giving you the opportunity to practice completing the Runway Condition Worksheet to successfully generate a RCR.
